My Neighbor’s Chair, Too

Included in the GALERIE NU series.
Circa 2003-2013.

This muse first came into my world as a collector of my fine art, and later asked to step in front of the camera. Though inexperienced, her natural ability became clear within minutes of our session.

Several have asked about the chair... and the story behind the title. In truth, it was a spontaneous encounter. As I was leaving for the session with this muse, I noticed the chair abandoned on the curb outside my neighbor’s house, awaiting its quiet end. There was something about it... worn, with paint chipping, yet still full of character. I felt compelled to rescue it, to offer it one last chance at purpose, perhaps even to possibly compliment it's beauty. I’m grateful I listened to quiet voice screaming loudly in my head, as it ended up playing a more powerful role than I ever expected.
