Valley View Panorama 2

Included in the Yosemite National Park series.
Circa 2017.

The monochrome version.

I truly appreciated this wide-angle view of Valley View, where both Ribbon Fall and Bridalveil Fall came into sight. A record snowfall the previous winter had swelled the waterfalls and rivers, making them even more striking. Visiting in the spring was a stroke of luck, as Ribbon Fall usually dries up by mid-summer. To capture a more compelling perspective, I carefully balanced on a slippery, downed tree several feet above the river.
