As I entered Yosemite National Park, the first waterfall that greeted me was Cascade Falls, also known simply as the Cascades. Visible from a roadside viewpoint along El Portal Road, it offered an immediate introduction to the sheer power and beauty of Yosemite’s waterfalls.
