Mount Shasta is a majestic, steep-sided stratovolcano situated about 60 miles north of Redding along the I-5 corridor in Northern California. The largest and most voluminous of all the Cascade Range volcanoes, it stands in Siskiyou County. Rising nearly 10,000 feet above the surrounding landscape, Shasta commands attention with its striking presence. Within this series, the mountain’s strength emerges from several vantage points.
