Burney Falls is located within McArthur-Burney Falls Memorial State Park, in the Shasta Cascade region of Northern California. This stunning 129-foot waterfall is fed by a combination of underground and surface springs, maintaining a near-constant flow of 100 million gallons of water per day year-round. The water temperature rarely exceeds 42 degrees.
President Theodore Roosevelt famously hailed Burney Falls as “The Eighth Wonder of the World.” After my own unforgettable visit… standing before the cascading torrents that shimmered like liquid lace, while the cool, invigorating mist danced across my skin and awakened every sense… I can’t help but echo his sentiment. The sheer power and serene beauty of the falls left an impression so deep it lingers with me even now.
