Burney Falls

Burney Falls is located within McArthur-Burney Falls Memorial State Park, in the Shasta Cascade region of Northern California. This stunning 129-foot waterfall is fed by a combination of underground and surface springs, maintaining a near-constant flow of 100 million gallons of water per day year-round. The water temperature rarely exceeds 42 degrees.

President Theodore Roosevelt famously declared Burney Falls to be ‘The Eighth Wonder of the World.’ After my unforgettable visit, where the immense beauty of the falls combined with the refreshing mist blowing against my face, peaking my senses yet to this day, I can’t help but wholeheartedly agree with his sentiment!
