When the Sky Watches Back

Storm clouds gathered like a dark conspiracy, their weight broken again and again by violent forks of lightning tearing through the sky. In one uncanny instant, the churning shadows twisted into a ghoulish face revealing itself between the thunder’s breath. By pure luck and a maybe just a little bit of educated timing, the fleeting omen was caught through the rough eye of a cell-phone lens before the storm swallowed it whole again.
