Spanning nearly 40 years, The Doug Heslep Fine Art Collection is a continually evolving archive of photography. At its core, Doug creates for himself. He’s the photographer, director, and the client, and every image in this collection carries personal meaning, otherwise, it wouldn’t be here. He feels fortunate, and is thankful that collectors find value in his work. Though what truly drives him are those moments when his audience… whether they be a collector, collaborator, muse, or individual experiencing his creativity for the first time… connect with his vision in a way he can sense and feel when he meets or speaks with them. This shared appreciation is what makes all the effort, trial, and dedication to his craft completely worthwhile.
Doug has always made it a goal to turn vision into something people can experience, often pushing against convention in the name of expression. Every edition in this collection reflects his career’s growth as an artist, and he is proud of the results. He is currently in a rebranding phase, with intent to expand his perspective. Moving forward, he is gravitating towards a bold new perspective, fusing his fine art photography with decades of experience in advertising, editorial, fashion, intimate, and musician photography… creating a body of work that is fresh, dynamic, and unexpected. Maybe even something you haven’t seen or experienced before.

Shooting my first roll of film as a college photography student set the path for a career I embrace fully. My Swan, featured in this gallery, and on that first roll of film, has become my most collected edition… and will always hold the place of my personal favorite.
